Safer Recruitment Process

Thank you for registering for a Gas Street Team - we are so grateful for you being willing to contribute towards the vision we feel God has given us to be ‘light for the city & beyond’!

In order to serve on a team at Gas Street, you need to complete the safer recruitment process which aligns with the Church of England’s safeguarding policies. This ensures we can keep everyone safe.

The Process

  1. Register for ChurchSuite if you haven’t already

  2. Read the relevant Role Description for your team so you understand the commitment

  3. Read the Safeguarding Policy & Helpful Information document

  4. Complete the Safer Recruitment Form and give us two references

  5. Complete the Safeguarding Training

  6. Send us your PDF certificates to safer.recruitment@gasstreet.church

For those working with children or vulnerable adults, we’ll also need you to complete a DBS check application and to verify your ID.

You won’t be able to start serving on a team until you’ve been safer recruited. This process usually takes a few weeks, so please be patient! The sooner you complete the first stages, the quicker we can process you.

If you have any questions or need support completing the process, just reach out to safer.recruitment@gasstreet.church and the team would love to help you
